Manifesto - an album by the 27-piece 'Large & Loose' led by Steve Berry, from LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). The music includes a mix of original compositions and some arrangements by Steve, along with band members Jessica McFarland, Paul Burton, Daniel Houghton & Sean Davey.
A unique and limited edition first run of 574 CDs will feature cases that were laid out on the floor in an 18-foot diameter disc arrangement. Stencils and spray paints were applied to create a vibrant image, then photographed from above. That photograph is the on-body CD image. Therefore each individual case is an integral component part (or 'tile') from that CD image.
The limited edition versions of this release are sold for £12 + £1.50 p&p. Should there be a demand for the album after the limited edition sells out, it will then become available only in ordinary cases (which naturally enough carry none of the spray painting element).
In the event of the limited edition run selling out, any profit generated will be donated to the Musicians' Union Benevolent Fund.
